Terms and Conditions of booking your summer Alpine holiday with Venture Sun in Sainte Foy in the French Alps

Definitions
In this document, Venture Leisure Group Limited is referred to as "Venture Sun" and the term "Client" refers to the lead client in a party responsible for booking and all other members of the party who will use the Venture Sun service.

Payment and Confirmation
To make a booking with Venture Sun, you must contact us using the details shown on this website.  Venture Sun will confirm availability and you must then fill in the Booking form that we will send to you and return it with the appropriate payment.  No contract shall exist between Venture Sun and the Client until this process is completed and the Client's initial payment has been received and cleared.

For bookings of catered holidays made more than 10 weeks prior to arrival, we will require a deposit of £200 per person.  The full balance of the holiday will be due 10 weeks prior to the date of arrival.  For bookings made within 10 weeks of arrival, the full amount will be payable at the time of booking.

For self-catering holidays, a deposit and damage waiver of £500 is payable with the booking, which will be refunded at the end of the holiday after deducting any amounts for damages or missing items.

Arrival and Departure
All holidays start at 16:00 hours on the day of arrival and end at 10:00 hours on the day of departure.  If you arrive in the resort earlier or wish to leave later, then Venture Sun will attempt to accommodate your arrangements or provide storage for luggage, but make no guarantee that this will be possible.

Travel
All holidays exclude travel unless in the case of transfers from airports specifically arranged at the time of booking, for which a supplementary charge applies.

Room Only Service

Bookings in Chalet Les Sapins where the chalet is not booked on an exclusive use basis are made on a room only basis, where your party will have use of your own en-suite room, the communal sitting room of the chalet and tea and coffee making facilities.  The cooking facilities of the main chalet kitchen are not available for room only bookings.  Bed linen will be provided and changed on a weekly basis.  Towels are not supplied.

Self Catered Service

Chalets taken on a self catered basis include use of the full chalet including the kitchen.  An inventory of cooking and dining equipment is included with the chalet.  Breakages or missing items will be deducted from the damage deposit.  The chalet including the kitchen should be left clean.  In the event that excessive cleaning is needed to return the chalet to its previous condition, a cleaning charge of £100 will be deducted from the damage deposit.

Linen and Laundry

Duvets, pillows and fresh linen will be provided in the chalet on your arrival and laundry done on your departure.  There is a charge of £10 per person per week which will be charged prior to the holiday.  Please note that towels are not supplied.

Bed and Breakfast Service

A bed and breakfast service can be ordered prior to the holiday.  This means a chalet host will prepare a full breakfast for you/your chalet six days per week, including a daily tidy of the room/chalet and prepare an afternoon cake to be left in your chalet.

Packed Lunches, Gourmet Picnics, Chalet Dinners and other Resort Services

There are a range of services that can be provided in the resort for you and your party.  These should be arranged in the resort through the resort staff/manager and are payable by cash or credit card in the resort.  If you think your party may like to take advantage of these services, please inform the Customer Service team prior to your arrival.

Alterations by the Client
If it becomes necessary to alter your holiday arrangements, the Client must inform Venture Sun as soon as possible.  Venture Sun will advise the Client of any changes in cost that might occur as a result or any refund that might be available.  Venture Sun makes no guarantee that a refund can be given.  However, Venture Sun will make reasonable endeavours to resell the Holiday in which case the Client will be entitled to a refund of payment made less any discounts given or administrative costs incurred.

Alterations by Venture Sun
In the event that a material alteration to a holiday for which a booking has been made becomes necessary, Venture Sun will inform the Client promptly.  The Client will be offered the choice of accepting the alternative arrangements or a full refund of monies paid to Venture SunVenture Sun does not accept responsibility for any costs incurred by the Client other than monies paid to Venture Sun.

Cancellation of a Holiday by Venture Sun
Venture Sun will only cancel a holiday in the event of non-payment by a Client, or circumstances beyond our control, such as Force Majeure, war, terrorism, natural or technical disasters, robbery, illness, government intervention, abnormal weather conditions (including avalanche).  In these circumstances, Venture Sun accepts no responsibility for compensation to clients.  Venture Sun shall have no responsibility or liability to the Client for loss of opportunity to take a holiday.

Insurance
It is a condition of booking that all clients have adequate comprehensive travel insurance to cover all activities and eventualities associated with your stay with Venture Sun, including public liability, property damage and cancellation of your holiday.

Personal Injury
Venture Sun accepts no responsibility other than it is obliged to do by law for negligence of its agents or employees causing physical injury to Clients.  Venture Sun accepts no responsibility or liability for any act or mishap causing injury or loss as a result of Force Majeure events, war, terrorism, natural or technical disasters, robbery, illness, government intervention, abnormal weather conditions or other such happenings. 

Liability of the Client and Venture Sun
Venture Sun will accept no responsibility for the actions of its Clients and shall not be liable for any claims made against them, as a result of their actions, by other clients or third parties. Clients undertake to behave in such a manner not to be detrimental to the enjoyment of other Clients, the general public or the staff or reputation of Venture Sun.  Venture Sun reserves the right to claim back from the Client any costs or charges incurred due to damage to a chalet whether accidentally caused or not.  Damage includes cigarette burns, misuse of electrical equipment, or drink spillage.  In circumstances of extreme behaviour, Venture Sun reserves the right to cancel a holiday forthwith and eject the Client from the chalet without compensation.

Complaints and Difficulties
In spite of Venture Sun's best efforts, occasionally problems do arise.  If you are unhappy about any aspect of your holiday or the Venture Sun service, you must address your concern immediately to the Venture Sun Resort Manager, and also if applicable to the Chalet Host or other supplier whose services are involved.  Venture Sun will make all reasonable efforts to resolve any problems.  If you wish to make a written complaint full details must be sent to our UK address within 14 days of your return to the UK.  In this case we must also have notification of any complaints in the Resort at the time.  Failure to take either of these steps will prevent Venture Sun from resolving the problem at the time or conducting a proper investigation.  In consequence, any right to compensation you may have will be reduced or eliminated.  Venture Sun resort staff are not authorised to offer any compensation or refund.

Jurisdiction
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed in all respects by English Law.
