Summer Corporate Activities

Summer Alpine Corporate Activities for a unique Team-Building experience in the French Alps

Alpine Activities available to your group are varied and different group activities can be accommodated into your schedule.

Guided walks and rambles

Break up you day with a mountainside walk along one of the many beautiful paths interlinking the hamlets on the mountainside.  For one of our Venture Sun representatives to guide you on the mountain, or to book a high mountain guide with all the local knowledge, just speak to our customer service team.

White Water Rafting

Your instructor/guide can look after groups of all ages and adventurous inclination.  Starting between Bourg St Maurice and Aime, the river runs down through the quiet valley, dropping through rapids, waterfalls and canyons.  End the trip in an area of deep water, where you can test your nerve jumping off the rocks from various heights... or even from the rope bridge swinging 20-30 feet over the river!

It is a wonderful day out, stacks of fun, and you will be well looked after by your guide.

Paracorps d'Aventure

High ropes in the trees, swings, rope-runs... have you tried "Go Ape" in the UK?  This is the high mountain forest equivalent.  Don't worry you don't have to hit the tree-top "black runs".  There are various grades and obstacles at all heights. But if you do...!

The Paracorps d'Aventure is just a 10 minute drive down the hill from your chalet, between Sainte Foy and Bourg St Maurice

Cycling and the Tour de France

Take your group out and join the spectators for one of the best-known sporting events in the world.  The excitement and storm of the riders may be gone in half an hour, but you can sit and enjoy watching the amateurs cycling by on the route for hours to come.  If you are interested in incorporating specific cycling activities or would like further information on the Tour de France spectator options, please let us know..

Yoga & massage

Experience true relaxation in the mountains and exercise your mind and body with specific yoga classes or a daily massage.  Let us know your group's requirements.

Relax!

Venture Sun in Sainte Foy offers the perfect base to sit back, relax and enjoy the warm summer sun.   At 1500m, the air is clear and as for noise - let us know if you hear anything!

Painting, photography, cookery

If your group would like to pursue a few hobbies, we offer cookery courses, photography sessions and painting classes.   Enjoy the opportunities to try new things - either in a team-building format for corporate cookery or pursuing a new skill as an individual hobby.  We work with a number of partners that can provide you with the expert tuition you seek.

Golf (Les Arcs & Tignes)

The local courses at Les Arcs or Tignes provide a great corporate game of golf.  Be prepared for a marginally more hilly walk than you may get at your local club.  Day members are welcome at these resorts and we can arrange a group booking on your behalf.

Fly Fishing

The streams and rivers in the Isere valley are a perfect place to learn the art of fly fishing.  Day, week, or season licences are available as well as the local equivalent of the gillies and instructors if you want to hone your casting technique and be sure you are in the perfect spot.

Explore Cheese Making

Bread, cheese, meat, potatoes... if you know the mountain cuisine, you know how good these staples can be after a day out walking or cycling.  Famous as the home of the fondue, pierrade, tartiflette and appetite-crunching salad savoyarde, the local farms provide a warm welcome to show you their methods and products.  To whet your appetite, get ready for these:

Reblochon: This soft, unpasteurized cow's-milk cheese has a velvety café au lait-colored rind, bone-colored paste, and a brie-like texture. Deliciously smelly, the taste is sweet, nutty, and beefy, reminiscent of a rare filet mignon that melts in the mouth with a pleasant, balsamy quality. Most brands are excellent, especially those from small producers in the villages of Thones, La Clusaz, and Le Grand-Bornand. Serve with fruity, white Savoie wines and fresh, young reds, such as Fleurie, Saint-Amour, or Julienas.

Beaufort: A name-controlled, raw cow's-milk cheese much like Swiss Gruyère but with a higher butterfat content and creamier texture, Beaufort has a mild, fruity, sweet flavor. Its extraordinary melting capacity makes it fabulous for fondue. All big red wines would pair appropriately with Beaufort. A bit more expensive and worth it.

Regional Wine Tasting

There are a number of local "caves" (wine cellars) who will be more than happy to welcome you with a glass or two or the regions wines to taste... and hopefully take a case or two back to your chalet to enjoy for the rest of your holiday or back at home.  The savoie region as you might expect produces a hardy grape giving a basic but reliable flavour to the region's wines.  Red, white and rose are all produced.  Further afield a day trip to one of the local vineyards is a great day out.
